Consignment terms & conditions for 2008

In every other aspect of the store you will find that the key words are "fun" and "casual", however, when it comes to accounting for consignors items we are completely professional.  We are fully computerized for inventory control, printed price tags, monthly settlements and other reports.

Contract basics: Consignment Period: “until sold”.  Having unselected or unsold items held in the store to be returned is no longer an option due to space limitations.  If you are concerned about this policy you are welcome to monitor unsold items and take them back at anytime. 

Split: Consignor receives 40% of the proceeds of the sale. 

Inventory: Once items are selected they are entered, price tags printed and an inventory report generated.  The inventory report is available either by email or you may pick up after approx. 5 days.

Pricing:  Generally resale prices, depending on wear, are approx. 1/3rd of retail.  If the item is new with the original price tag it can be priced at approx. 50% of original retail.  We encourage consignors to provide original cost information so the item can be priced appropiately.  We also encourage consignors to review the inventory report when received so that adjustments can be made if necessary.

Discounting: Done at the discretion of the owner to facilitate sales.

Payment: Monthly by the end of the month for the prior month’s sales provided the amount due is over $20. 

Selection:  will be done while you are in the store, so please allow 15 – 20 minutes. We will go through your items as quickly as possible. Please be aware we are very selective and scrutinize each item for flaws. We  don’t give reasons for items not selected.  You may have many very nice, flawless items we won’t take due to concerns regarding the "marketability" of the items or current quantities on hand. 

Please limit your items to 25 pieces per visit!  Unless other arrangements are made in advance.
